Cherry season typically begins the first couple weeks of May and continues, usually, into mid to late June. It depends how late the harvest began and of course how soon the orchard get's picked out by our visitors,
For most cherries, look for that deep red color. The cherry should be firm yet easy to bite. We also grow Ranier Cherries which when ripe/ready, will be a yellowish with blush tones. You are welcome to sample a cherry or two, just to be sure!
Once a stem is removed, the shelf life of a cherry will drastically diminish. By keeping your cherries cool with the stem attached, you can expect your cherries to remain at their peak freshness for up to 5 days.
